YUMC Adopts a Highway!
YUMC was approved to adopt miles 47-49 on Hwy I-5 as part of California’s “Adopt a Highway” program. This is the portion northbound from Yreka Creek, where it passes under I-5 untile one (1) mile past the Yreka/Montague exit. This program is being coordinated by the UMM and entails only one hour of your time once a month. We will be working six (6) person crews, who will receive training on safety procedures. All safety equipment will be provided.
We are looking for men and women who are willing to walk a mile and pick up trash. More people signing up means less time spent for everyone on this important project.
