From Pastor Toni’s sermon today…”Church” is a Verb!

Has your flame gone out…or flickered while you were wondering, “Where is the passion and excitement I once had?” Keep the flame burning! Serving together keeps us on fire…fire spreads fast when fanned by the winds of the Holy Spirit within You! Keep up the incredible work serving your local community!

Happy New Year!

As we begin anew in 2009, it is a wonderful time to reflect on the year past and the one about to begin. What changes will you be making this year to make strong your bond with God?  To look forward, let’s look back. Each week during Advent our 2nd-4th grade class developed an acrostic to describe what certain words mean to us. Here is what these precious and wonderful children came up with.  Out of the “mouths of babes” we receive words of wisdom for how to live our lives in the new year and every day.

HOPE
H – Have
O – Optimism and
P – Peace in your heart
E – Every day

PEACE
P – Peace for
E – Everyone
A – All through
C – Christmas
E – Everywhere

JOY

O – Our Savior
Y – Yes, He shall be victorious in our names

LOVE
